2017 Southwest Tea Fest – Call for Presentations
The Southwest Tea Fest is searching for educational, creative, and innovative hands-on topics to be presented on Saturday and Sunday, February 25th-26th, at the Lucky Dragon Casino in Las Vegas, NV! The festival boasts attendees from throughout the Southwest and will include a healthy mix of consumers and food professionals. Presentations will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Practicality and information presented to the audience
- Your knowledge of the presentation topic
The deadline for presentation submissions is January 15, 2017. Any presentation that is intended as a “sales pitch” for your product/service will not be considered. When planning your presentation, please allot 10-15 minutes of Q&A at the end. Examples of topics can include:
- Growing and processing of tea
- Tasting/Cupping of tea
- Determining the quality of tea
- Consumer education of the industry and trade of tea
- Human interactions with tea (science-based)
- International and domestic culture of tea
- History of tea
If selected to present, a computer, projector, and screen will be provided. The presentation room will be set-up theater style and is limited to 40 people. We reserve the right to add/change presentation space if demand calls for it. Notification of acceptance of your presentation to the festival will be sent out the third week of January 2017 via email.
ALL presenters will need to provide an electronic version of their presentation no later than January 31, 2017.
ALL presenters will need to provide a photo of yourself for event program and website no later than January 20, 2017.
